The Data Science Minor at UNC

The Data Science Minor at Carolina is a new multidisciplinary program launched in the Fall 2021 and offered by the College of Arts & Sciences. The minor has been designed to introduce students from any discipline to data science methods and applications, while simultaneously providing opportunities to explore its complex interactions with modern society. To achieve these goals, the minor is structured to allow students to choose their coursework from many different departments, encouraging them to explore the use of data science within their main field of study.

The Data Science Minor at Carolina is administered by a multidisciplinary faculty committee, and is not hosted by any individual department. This website is meant to include all the information needed by students, academic advisors, and faculty across campus. For questions and suggestions please contact a member of the administrative committee.
